The Self Reliance Expo hit Dallas with a whirlwind! Thanks go out to everyone in Dallas for the warm welcome. It was great meeting everyone. We had an opportunity to meet several new companies and are excited to learn what they have to offer. I had an opportunity to try my hand at Blade Sports and did fairly well, surprised me! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I was itching for a new project. I decided to build my own compost system. I wanted something that was easy to use for my wife and kids and still be very functional. After viewing several different ideas online, and spending time at the last Self Reliance Expo I decided to mix some of those ideas together and create my own version.

Materials Needed:

• 3 each 4x4x8
• 10ft of 3/4 inch pipe
• 4 bags quick mixing concrete
• 4 each 6 inch lag bolts

Tools Needed:

• Drill
• 1 inch bit
• saw to cut 4x4s
• Tape measure
• Pencil

Our Keynote Presenter will be Dave Cantebury from Discovery Channels Dual Survival and founder of the Pathfinder School. We are very excited and honored to have Dave come over to Denver Self Reliance Expo Sept. 16-17. Be sure not to miss this!

Dave is also and adjunct faculty member of Frontier Christian University for the Wilderness Self Reliance Certificate Program.

Now that we have had a chance to recover from our Spring 2011 Self Reliance Expo, we thought we would give everyone an update.

First of all we would like to give a big thank you to all those who supported the event and our exhibitors! You coming down and showing your support was huge, and has really given us the energy to keep these events going.

We opened the doors at 10AM on Friday, April 8. By noon we had over a thousand supporters make it through the door.  So a big THANK YOU to everyone who came down and supported us.

I would like to put out a special thank you to a couple of exhibitors.

Jeff  “The Berkey Guy”  Gleason of LPC Survival. Jeff, we thank you so much for your support. Jeff announced that he will be at every expo we do and will support us every time. He was also the first exhibitor to sign up every time we announce new show dates. Thanks again Jeff!

What makes these guys so special is they cant really even sell their guns at the event, they just feel its such an important topic that they wanted to support it.
